Barring all the cliche phrases that have abounded in the current conversation surrounding COVID-19, it is fair to say that we are living in an unprecedented time, and the church's continued presence, though not wavering in its mission, must be mindful of the current context.  Because of this, we have implemented a few measures in RUF to address our mission in light of COVID-19.

1. We are called to submit to the governing authorities that preside over us (Romans 13).  This means everything we do in RUF this quarter will be in compliance with the national, state, and local health precautions towards COVID-19.
2. RUF is a ministry that seeks to support, honor, and build trust with the colleges and universities we serve.  Thus, all of our ministry opportunities seek to abide by the regulations the school sets forth.
3. We are called to love our neighbors.  This means that we value both the spiritual and physical condition of our neighbors.  We request that students take measures that will keep themselves and others safe, including things like wearing masks, keeping social distance, gathering outside when possible, and not seeking to minimize the fears surrounding COVID-19 of those around them.
4. We also believe that alongside all of these measures, it is good and valuable to rely on the community that Jesus offers us.  Whether this community exists through virtual means or in COVID-safe environments, we seek to provide a place where students can grow in their relationship with God and each other.  We want to know how we can best reach and serve you, regardless of if you are in Savannah or back home this quarter!
